The film and theater artist Seema Biswas shot to fame with her performance in Shekhar kapoor s film Bandit Queen in 1994 where she won the National Award for the best actress. She was also awarded with Sangeet Natak Academy for her role in Deepa Mehta s Water and also for Midnight s Children. Her debut as leading in the film Amshini. But the mainstream Bollywood movie like Khamoshi, Bhoot, Vivah and Half Girlfriend with some television works made her more popular. Born on 14 th Jan, 1965 in Assam, she did her graduation from Assam and later joined national School of Drama, New Delhi in 1984.
